Robert Lee Morris was charged with multiple felony and misdemeanor counts including first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sodomy, first-degree unlawful sexual penetration, strangulation, fourth-degree assault, recklessly endangering another person, second-degree criminal mischief, and attempt to commit a Class A felony. The charges stemmed from incidents occurring on or about June 1, 2022 and August 6, 2022. On December 1, 2022, Morris pleaded guilty to one count of strangulation, two counts of fourth-degree assault, one count of recklessly endangering another person, and one count of first-degree rape. He was convicted on those counts. The remaining charges were dismissed. Morris was sentenced to 50 months in the Oregon Department of Corrections for the rape conviction (with 36 months post-prison supervision), 24 months of supervised probation, and 20 days in county jail on the other counts (concurrent). He was also ordered to register as a sex offender and pay fines totaling $920.
