•••Man arrested on an outstanding warrant after report of a suspicious person going through mailboxes••• On March 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., the Coos County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received a report of attempted mail theft in the Barview area off Hollywood Lane. The caller described the suspects as a female and male and provided a description of their clothing. The caller reported that two individuals were scouting the area and witnessed one of them open a mailbox. Sgt. J. Clayburn responded and located the male and female as described near Englund Marine in Charleston. The male was identified as Rodney T. Krahn (30), who had an outstanding arrest warrant. The two individuals denied opening mailboxes in the area, and no mail was found in their possession. Rodney T. Krahn was arrested on the outstanding warrant and transported to the Coos County Jail where he was booked and is currently in custody.
