On February 19, 2024, at 7:11 p.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a crash on Round Lake Road at the Bandon Dunes. Deputy K. Mong responded along with Bay Cities Ambulance and Bandon Fire. Nathan S. Cooper (35) was identified as the vehicle's driver, which had crashed into a tree. Nathan Cooper was transported to Bay Area Hospital by Bay Cities Ambulance. After an investigation, Nathan S. Cooper (35) was cited in lieu of custody for DUII, DWS Violation, Driving Uninsured, and Failure to Install IID.
