BPD: Chief Dhillon would like to inform the public regarding the increased law enforcement activity north of Bandon. Bandon Police officers assisted in a pursuit involving a suspect wanted out of Lane County and the state of Washington. The pursuit ended when the suspect crashed North of Bandon and fled on foot. Multiple law enforcement agencies are currently canvassing the area in an active search for the suspect. The suspect, Marcquis White, age 33, is described as an African American male, last seen wearing a blue Nike jumpsuit. The suspect is possibly armed. Residents in the area are strongly advised to remain indoors and report any sightings or information immediately by calling 911. Please do not approach the suspect.
