the Coos County Sheriff's Office was called to a residence in the 92600 block of Cascade Lane in Coos Bay on a disturbance. Deputies say 27-year-old Tad D. Roane had damaged property belonging to his father and landlord and that Roane had allegedly threatened his 55-year-old father's life and held a knife to his throat. Law enforcement said Roane fled before deputies arrived. At 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, Roane came back to the residence and was taken into custody. He was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, menacing and second-degree criminal mischief.
