•••Alexander Romero Arrested After Violent Incident at Bachelors Inn••• On August 29th, 2024, at approximately 9:12 PM, Deputies H. Francis and S. Converse were dispatched to the Bachelors Inn to investigate a reported disturbance. Prior to their arrival, the Coos Bay Police had already taken the suspect, Alexander Romero (32), into custody. The investigation revealed that Mr. Romero had unlawfully entered the Bachelors Inn despite being previously trespassed, harassed the victim by slapping them, and then fled with the victim's belongings. A bystander intervened and managed to restrain Mr. Romero until law enforcement arrived. It was also discovered that the victim was protected by a Restraining Order against Mr. Romero. Deputies arrested Mr. Romero and transported him to the Coos County Jail, where he was charged with Harassment, Criminal Trespass, Domestic Harassment, and Violation of a Restraining Order. While being processed at the jail, Mr. Romero became combative with the Booking Deputies, even spitting in the face of one Deputy. This act led to an additional felony charge of Aggravated Harassment.
