Man arrested after report of an assault at Lighthouse Beach. On April 5th, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a report of an assault that had occurred at Lighthouse Beach with the victim currently located at Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay. Deputy Freerksen responded to the hospital and met with the victim, who was being treated for injuries sustained in the assault. During the investigation, it was learned the victim was allegedly held against her will for several days at Lighthouse Beach while being physically assaulted several times. After speaking with the victim, Deputy Freerksen attempted to contact the suspect, who was identified as Brian A. Donaldson (41). Deputies Freerksen and Baker located Mr. Donaldson in Lakeside at the Lakeshore Lodge. As a result of the investigation, Brian A. Donaldson (41) was arrested on the charges of kidnapping I, (4) counts of assault IV domestic, (4) counts of strangulation, harassment, and menacing. Mr. Donaldson was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he remains in custody. Case Number: S23-07462
