According to the Coos County sheriff's Office, deputies spotted a stolen Subaru in the Barview area and attempted to stop the vehicle when the driver fled at a high rate of speed. Deputies pursued the vehicle from Barview to the area of Shell Lane where they say the driver, 30-year-old Ricky Potter, drove into the driveway of a residence and fled the vehicle on foot. The passenger, 26-year-old Elizabeth Reed, also reportedly fled on foot, the report said. Witnesses reportedly saw the suspects flee into a nearby house. Reed and Potter were eventually arrested and taken to the Coos County Jail. Potter was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and eluding, among other charges, and cited for several motor vehicle infractions. Reed was charged with unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and eluding on foot.
