•••Motorcycle flees from Deputy near Lakeside. The operator was arrested on several charges, including narcotics possession••• On March 8th, 2024, at 12:20 a.m. Deputy H. Francis observed two motorcycles northbound on Hwy 101 near milepost 226 at a high rate of speed while patrolling southbound. Deputy Francis attempted to catch up to the motorcycles and conduct a traffic stop on one of them at Highway 101 and Airport Way in Lakeside, Oregon. The motorcycles split, one turning onto Airport Way and entering Lakeside and the other continuing northbound on U.S. Hwy 101. Deputy Francis continued after the motorcycle on U.S. Hwy 101 and activated her lights and siren as a motorcycle pulled away from her, reaching speeds of 100 to 120 mph. Deputy Francis pursued the motorcycle just into Douglas County, where it finally pulled to the right-side shoulder of the road and stopped. Deputy Francis was able to take the operator, Christopher Dale-Reynolds (27), into custody without incident. Christopher was in possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl at the time of his arrest. Christopher Dale-Reynolds was transported to the Coos County jail on the charges of elude by vehicle, reckless driving, reckless endangering another, driving while suspended misdemeanor, possession of a controlled substance – fentanyl, and possession of a controlled substance- methamphetamine.
