A year-long drug investigation by the Eugene Police Department Street Crimes Unit, assisted by the DEA, South Coast Interagency Narcotics Team, and Coos County Sheriff’s Office, culminated in the service of search warrants at three locations: the 1700 block of Gilham Road and 3400 block of Jacobs Lane in Eugene, and the 1000 block of North 8th Street in Lakeside. Officers seized: 180 grams of methamphetamine, 77 grams of fentanyl, scales and packaging from Gilham Road; two firearms, 15 grams of methamphetamine, 17 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 3 grams of fentanyl, 30 grams of methadone, scales, packaging, and a stolen bicycle from Jacobs Lane; and approximately 5.8 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, 5 grams of cocaine, 1.8 pounds of marijuana, scales, packaging, and $11,458 in cash from Lakeside. Cellular phones, text messages, and pay/owe records related to drug manufacturing, sales, and possession were also obtained. Kassandra Jean Kruit, Blake William Dickson, and Vernon Lee Johnson were arrested and charged with multiple counts including unlawful manufacture, delivery, and possession of controlled substances (methamphetamine, fentanyl, psilocybin, cocaine, marijuana, methadone), child neglect in the first degree, and conspiracy.

Police served a search warrant in December of 2014 and found 200 grams of meth, scales, packaging materials, and records of drug transactions. Tucker was sentenced to more than three years in prison for unlawful delivery of meth, and two counts of 1st degree child neglect. Johnson was sentenced on Tuesday to 5 years in prison for unlawful delivery and possession of meth and two counts of child endangering.
