On January 25th, 2024, at 11:54 p.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a woman reporting she was being chased. The woman, identified as Christine M. Saxon (25), told dispatchers she would wait for the responding deputy at a picnic table outside an ATV rental store near Hauser just off U.S. Hwy 101. Deputy S. Starr and a Reedsport P.D. Unit in transit to work responded to the location. Deputy Starr’s investigation revealed the woman was not being chased and that she was under the influence. A record check revealed Christine M. Saxon (25) had an active felony warrant for her arrest. Deputy Starr arrested Ms. Saxon on the outstanding warrant and transported her to the Coos County Jail, where she was booked and remains in custody.
