Levi C. Sutphin, 21, of Myrtle Point, was sentenced in Coos County Circuit Court to 30 days in jail and 36 months probation after pleading guilty to second-degree sexual abuse. In February, Sutphin forced the juvenile victim to have sex with him at the Coos County fairgrounds despite her repeatedly saying "No." The victim became pregnant as a result. Judge Michael Gillespie ordered Sutphin to have no contact with the victim or the unborn child, and to complete a sex offender treatment program. Victim and parental impact statements were read in court describing the lasting trauma.
