Around 5:30 a.m. on November 5, 2025, North Bend Police officers responded to a report of a man causing significant property damage near City Hall after a concerned citizen notified police. Officers located and arrested 41-year-old Jeffery Allen Hill, a transient, without incident. He was transported to the Coos County Jail. Hill faces six counts of Criminal Mischief in the First Degree and three counts of Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree for allegedly damaging eight City-owned vehicles and multiple windows at the North Bend Public Works building. Damage estimates are pending. Hill has 1,092 recorded police contacts and has been arrested 31 times in North Bend since July 1, 2025. Officers are also investigating additional damage to the former Coos County Courthouse Annex.
