CCSO: On February 2, 2025, at around 4:30 PM, a Coos County Solid Waste employee reported two male subjects trespassing at the Beaver Hill Disposal Site in Coos Bay. The suspects were observed on video entering a recycling building and stealing a significant amount of cans, bottles, and battery cores. Upon arrival, law enforcement found that the suspects had escaped through a hole in the fence, carrying several trash bags. Sergeant J. Boswell and Deputy K. Mong, with K9 Poe, tracked the suspects' scent southeast, leading to the discovery of bags of cans and batteries. The tracking continued to Highway 101, where Sergeant A. Slater located the suspects, John Langley (40) and Darryl Sullivan (57), in a vehicle full of cans. Langley initially denied entering the property but later admitted to taking cans from the area. Sullivan confirmed entering the property and taking several bags of cans. Both were charged with Burglary II, Theft II, and Criminal Trespass II. Both men were transported to the Coos County Jail, booked and released.
